Fred Frazier Jr. is a Student Success Advisor focusing on Adult Learners who are Reconnecting with post-secondary education utilizing the Tennessee Reconnect Scholarship Grant at Nashville State Community College.
Tennessee Reconnect Community Navigators are a single point of contact that can help you navigate the path to college. They provide free advising, career exploration tools, assistance in understanding financial aid and college costs, and they can help you select a college and a major that fits your interests and career goals. Once you’ve enrolled in college they will continue to support, guide and encourage you until you graduate.
The mission of the office of Peer Mentoring is to help incoming students to successfully integrate into the campus community by offering support in connecting to college resources, advisors, and staff as well as community resources when applicable. Peer Mentors will actively listen and engage in conversations with assigned students in an effort to inspire mentees to think critically and to persist in finding solutions when they encounter obstacles to their success so that they may stay motivated and persist in their education at NSCC. Tutoring is available to all students free of charge in the library learning center and online. You may view campus tutoring schedules here. Online tutoring is available 24/7 via your NS Online account.
Modern States offers free online courses designed to help you pass CLEP credit tests. When you complete a preparation course through Modern States, they will provide you with a voucher to take the CLEP test free of charge.
Learning Express Hub offers career exploration, CLEP exam prep, Accuplacer exam prep, and Computer Skills tutorials. Use of resources on this website is free of charge.

In accordance with House Bill 1000/Senate Bill 763 (now Public Chapter 266), Nashville State Community College has designated a staff member to serve as a homeless student liaison to assist homeless students who are enrolled, or planning to enroll, in the institution. This liaison understands the provisions pertaining to financial aid eligibility of homeless students and is available to help connect those students with available resources and services.

Nashville Helps is a team of nonprofit organizations, educators, and other social service providers in the Nashville area that can help connect adults to the resources they need. This tool is a project of Nashville Public Library's Adult Literacy program.
Where to turn in Nashville is a comprehensive list of community resources for homelessness, domestic violence, thoughts of suicide, hunger, housing, feelings of depression and anxiety, etc. Students in Humphrey's county can find information for their area via the documents linked below.
