TNReconnect Toolbox: Navigate Your Online Courses

Some classes will be taught virtually via Zoom. Use the tutorial linked below to make sure you are ready for virtual classes.

eLearn- This word is used by instructors to refer to NS Online classes. These classes are accessed via an eLearn site.

D2L- This is another word that instructors use to refer to NS Online classes. It refers to the software package used by NSCC to build these courses.

NSOnline- Sometimes NS Online. These are web courses taught by Nashville State instructors and charged at the NSCC institutional tuition rate. Your classes on campus will also have a place in NSOnline that your instructors may wish to utilize for homework, quizzes, and discussion outside of class. It is accessed via https://elearn.nscc.edu/d2l/login.

TNeCampus- Sometimes TN eCampus. These are web courses offered through our governing board, the TN Board of Regents. Instructors for these courses are not necessarily employed by Nashville State. They could be anywhere within the state of TN. Your fellow students also may be enrolled at other schools throughout the state. Because these courses are maintained by our governing board, you will pay an extra access fee in addition to NSCC tuition to take these courses. These courses are accessed via https://gotoclass.tnecampus.org/d2l/login.

Read the Online Orientation for the course(s) you are enrolled in. In the Online Orientation, you will learn how to use all of the tools of an online course. Important: Understand how all the tools work before you login to your Web course.
