This research guide is designed to assist with the Family and Community Engagement Project in the ECED 2340 course.

Post-Interview Analysis

Answer the following questions:

  • Based on the information provided by the family, explain how you would build a respectful and reciprocal relationship with the family. What would you do? How would you do it? Be sure to give examples that represent what you would do when initiating/sustaining your relationship with the child and family.
  • Based on the information provided by the family, explain how you would encourage their participation in the child’s education program. Include what communication methods you would use, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Provide suggestions or recommendations you would give them so that they might better address or respond to the child’s challenges and strengths that have been identified. Include other suggestions or recommendations for the family as well. Be sure to give many clear examples and ideas. Recommendations should be respectful, responsive, and *reciprocal
