The Library

The Mayfield Library is the library at Nashville State. If your professor assigns you a research essay, one great place to find credible sources is directly from the library databases.  You can search straight from the library's home page.

College vs High School

Image description: Infographic titled College Versus High School containing general tips in the form of a do's and don'ts list. On the do's side, the text reads: Figure out class times that are best for you. Attendance matters, professors often give participation points where your only job is to show up. Build a relationship with your professors by being respectful, you catch more flies with honey. Break up big assignments into little chunks and do a bite-sized amount each day. On the don't's side, the text reads: Early morning classes are not for everyone. Carefully consider your learning style. Without attending a class, your likelihood of passing and keeping your grant can drop significantly. Your peers are there to learn, and most of them paid to be there. Be mindful of that during classes. Procrastination is the worst enemy of the student. Be proactive.
