Articles located in the library databases may be used in your courses. You can link to articles or add a PDF (if available); however, you must check article availability each semester. EBOOKS REQUIRE LINKING. In order to link to an article follow these steps:
- Locate article persistent link.
- Add library proxy prefix in front of persistent link: https://ezproxy.nscc.edu:3443/login?url=
- Run persistent link through link shortener like Bit.ly.
- Create link within D2L.
Students will need to login into the article using their A number and myNSCC password if they are off campus. Make sure to check the article links each semester to ensure they're still working. In some cases, the library may lose access to full text articles. If the library loses access you will need to remove PDFed articles from your course and find a replacement article.
Locating Persistent Links
Below are screenshots of where to locate persistent links in several of the library's databases.
