Alesia tells the story of her nine year journey to get her degree one class at time.

Quiana's Story

Where I'm From

Quiana shares her emotional journey of from high school drop out to college student -- "from dropping out to dropping in." Her poem "Where I'm From" was featured at the Southern Word Writer Slam at NSCC.


Jeremy's Story

Jeremy shares his story of overcoming grief to become a successful Nashville State student. He plans to finish his degree in psychology and pursue a career in grief counseling.

Carla's Story

Carla tells the story of using NSCC's resources to overcome the hurdle of passing math to earn her certificate in Central Processing Technology. She's continuing her associate's degree this fall.

Sebastian's Story

Sebastian has degrees from Nashville State and Middle Tennessee State in engineering. Currently, he is working on his MBA at MTSU. Sebastian immigrated to the US from Romania and started in the ESL program at NSCC.
