How Do I Get Around the Internet?

Your browser is what you use to navigate around the Internet. There are a few different types of browsers, which all will give you access to the Internet, however certain browsers are more helpful for certain things.

Google Chrome is the browser that is most successful with printing, logging into NS Online, and general speed here in the Library. We suggest that you try Chrome first, at least while you're here.

Other browsers are: Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and when you're using a Mac, Safari. 

Getting to a Web Site:

Once you've opened your browser, you will see your home page. If you'd like to go to a specific website, you need to type the address of the website into the address bar at the top of your page. For example, if you want to go to the Nashville state website you will need to type in "nscc.edu" into the address bar, like this:

To check your student email from the Nashville State website, click on "log in" at the top of the page, or simply click here: https://www.nscc.edu/login 

Scroll down to "Student Email" where you can link to log in. You will need to log in with your student e-mail address and myNSCC password.
